DIY | Pipe Table

Here is my DIY Pipe Table!

Pretty excited about it. At first, I thought it was going to be one of those projects I never finished…But I did it (with the help of my dad). And if I can do it, you definitely can get this one in done to ladies.

I absolutely love it, and when I think about how much money I saved making my love for it grows. I was doing a little research on work tables, and the one I wanted was running around $430. This project was under $100 and that is a steal!

It took me about 8 hours in total to complete only because I painted the wood myself. However, if you find a piece of stained wood you like you can cut your time in half.

Alright, let’s get to it!

Here is the step by step how to video on what I did to make my pipe table.

Steps for making a Pipe Table:

What you will need to make a Pipe Table:

    • Wood Workbench Top
    •  4 – 3/4″ Flanges
    •  6- 3/4″ Tees
    • 4 Casters
    • 3/4″ Dowel Rod
    • Screws
    • Leveler
    • Drill

Pipes to Get — 3/4 Pipping

    • 4 – 6″ pipes
    • 4 – 22.5″ pipes
    • 4 – 9″ pipes
    • 1 – 48″ pipe

I got my table top from the Lowe’s lumber department. It was the thickest I could find without having to make my own top out of wood planks.

Paint for Pipe Table:

I used the PolyShades Honey Gloss Stain and Polyurethane. You can find it here:

Pros and Cons of Pipe Table

Cons:  I wish I was able to find an actual butcher tabletop, but I couldn’t find what I was looking for at my local hardwood stores.
Pros: I can always change up the top at any time.

If you are eyeing my gold chair, you can make one just like it! Here are the steps I took to make that one happen:
