Protein is known to be the building blocks of our bodies cells. Although meat and seafood can be good sources of protein and builds muscles, there are alternatives should you need them. When looking for a good source of protein that is not meat, we often don’t think to look to fruit. Surprisingly, fruit can be an excellent source for protein when looking for a meat substitute. There are so many factors to think about when looking to choose the perfect fruit to get your daily source for protein, and that could be the total amount of protein, as well as, the amount of essential amino acids.

How much protein do you need daily?

The amount of protein you need in your daily diet can vary depending on your sex, age, pregnancy status, height, weight, and daily activity level. You can measure how much protein you need by using a calculator.

If you are looking to calculate how much protein you need, the USDA Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI) Calculator is a great resource.

The great thing about using the DRI Calculator, it will give you a full recommendation for the daily macronutrients (carbohydrates, fiber, protein, fat, water), vitamins and minerals.

After using the DRI Calculator, I found that my protein intake needs to be 68 grams of protein daily and I am excited to know I can get that through protein rich fruit.

Are fruits high in protein?

Protein rich foods are extremely important for a daily diet to insure immune and cellular health, and there are fruits that are high in protein. The right selection of fruits for breakfast, lunch and dinner can be a great source of protein for your daily intake needs. Eating enough protein daily with fruits like jackfruit and guava can leave you feeling full and satisfied throughout the day.

Things to Consider on a Fruit Diet

Eating a fruit-only diet can be tricky, but it can be healthy with some pre-planning. When choosing a fruit diet, you will need to make sure you have a variety of fruits that are protein fruits, some that serve as a source of fiber, rich in vitamins and amino acids. Finding a good supplement will be important on your health journey if you cannot ensure a proper intake balance.

When possible, it is essential to select organic fruits while tackling estrogen dominate disorders like painful cycle, endometriosis, and fibroids.
