How I Reduced My Stress In the Bahamas

How I Reduced Stress in the Bahamas

This is my journey to reducing stress from the day-to-day hustle and bustle.

My husband and I took a much-needed trip to the Bahamas to reboot, reconnect, SLEEP, and celebrate all the amazing things happening in our life — including our 1 year anniversary that is right around the corner!

This past year has been nothing short of a true blessing — marriage, Baby Klay, a new job, house renovations, paying off debt, travel, and so much more. I am thankful for everything that has happened, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that there was layer of stress that came with it. All of which has caused some insomnia, a little hair loss (thanks hormones!), acne, weight gain and loss.

Signs of Stress

I decided to take the time to listen to my inner thoughts, and have some real conversations with myself and my husband that often get drowned out by the day-to-day hustle about the direction my life was going in.

How to Reduce Stress

I learned a lot!

  1. RELAX
  2. I made a list of things to let go!
  3. Reset Affirmations
  4. Make 6-month plan
  5. Have fun! Laugh and live in the moment
  6. Maintain a healthy relationship
  7. Be yourself. Let your hair down!

I am thankful to be able to reduce my stress and press the restart button in the Bahamas, but this can be done anywhere. Make time for this! Block time on your schedule to allow yourself to truly relax and release on the stresses of your life. It will help you stay healthy our journey.

I will sharing all of my adventures in the Bahamas soon!
