Our First Year Of Marriage

I can’t believe it’s already our anniversary! When they say time flies, it really does! This time last year Josh and I were getting married with our immediate family in tow, and fast forward today were celebrating our first year of marriage.

These last 365 days have gone by so fast! It has been packed so many amazing memories, laughter, tears, and hard work.

Yesterday, Josh and I went to dinner at the same place we celebrated with our family last year. We got a chance to reflect on our year, and he asked me would I do it again.  My answer — absolutely!!

Marriage isn’t easy, but it’s worth it!

Our First Year of Marriage Review

• We Laugh Constantly! I swear laughter is like glue, and I’m thankful for our inside jokes that no one else understands.

• We Learned each other’s love language.

• We Do the little things consistently…Because those are the things that matter the most.

• We Support each other in ways that the other needs and appreciates, not just what we feel like giving.

• We Listen and Reflect. This is probably my favorite part about us. We can have disagreements, and find a space to truly listen with intention to be there for one another.

This year, Josh and I have gone through a lot. We gave birth to our son, lost loved ones, sold property, traveled, and celebrated career growth. This was a foundational year for us. And I am excited about what God has in store for us in the years to come!
