Honey Chamomile Tea Latte Recipe | Medicinal Herbs

Chamomile tea is a traditional remedy for soothing the digestive system and promoting restful sleep, but it’s also great as an all-natural way to relax your mind and body after a long day of work or study. So, turning this classic drink into latte is a great way to put your own health spin on an amazing herbal tea.

3. Nausea relief: If you feel queasy, try drinking chamomile tea instead of taking medication. It works just like over-the-counter antiemetics (drugs such as Dramamine), but without the side effects.

Herbal Latte

Herbal lattes are a fun and healthy way to start your mornings. They’re easy to make at home, and they taste great too! This particular recipe uses fresh chamomile blossoms, which are available year round. You can find them at most grocery stores during springtime. If you’d prefer to use dried chamomile, just add 1/2 teaspoon per cup of water instead of 1 tablespoon. 

How to Make Chamomile Tea Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons loose chamomile (or use 4 tea bags)
  • 3 tablespoons raw organic honey
  • 1 cup coconut milk

Instructions:

In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the water to a boil. Turn off the heat and add the chamomile. Let steep for 5 minutes. Strain out the chamomile leaves and discard them. Add the honey to the hot liquid and stir until dissolved. Serve immediately in a tall glass filled halfway with steamed milk. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp chamomile tea
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • sweetener of choice

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the water to a boil.
  • Turn off the heat and add the chamomile.
  • Let steep for 5 minutes.
  • Strain out the chamomile leaves and discard them.
  • Add the honey to the hot liquid and stir until dissolved. 
  • In a small saucepan over medium hear, warm coconut milk
  • Pour milk in a glass 3/4s of the way
  • Add chamomile tea to your glass
  • Sweeten to taste
